Backed by The Brydon Group, a veteran-led $270M private equity fund, NATA CS is poised for rapid growth and looking for a dynamic sales professional to join its expanding Business Development team.
Job Summary:
The Account Executive will be primarily responsible for executing on the company sales strategy with business aviation and cargo customers. The ideal candidate will have a background in aviation sales, a passion for aviation and technology, and is highly motivated to excel in a high-growth environment that rewards exceptional performance. Typical deal size will be $5k-$25k+. This role will be part of the broader NATA CS BD team, reporting directly to the VP of Development & Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Identify, approach, and engage potential clients to drive new business opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Sales & Revenue Growth: Drive new, cross-sell / up sell sales initiatives, negotiate agreements, and achieve revenue targets.
- Customer Research & Strategy Development: Conduct analysis to identify customer challenges, and leverage knowledge of NATA CS platform to propose solutions tailored to customer
- Proposal & Presentation Development: Prepare business proposals, pitches, demos, webinars and presentations for prospective clients as well as at industry events.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other business development team members, marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure business objectives are met.
- Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance visibility.
- Performance & Reporting: Maintain an updated pipeline of opportunities and forecast revenue potential. Provide insights on market conditions, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven track record of excellent performance in business development, sales, or a related role. Strong candidates will have a background in B2B sales, or experience selling in regulated industries.
- Demonstrated history of high performance across academic and professional endeavors.
- Passion and enthusiasm for aviation.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and execute customer strategies and sales plans.
- Knowledge of market research, competitive analysis, and industry trends.
- Experience with CRM software and sales tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Job Benefits & Location:
- Location: The preference is for this role to be proximate to our Washington, D.C. office; we are open to considering experienced candidates located nearby in Maryland and/or Virginia
- This is a full-time salary position with variable compensation (commission) and is eligible for benefits including health insurance, and paid time off. Compensation will depend on experience.
