Job Description

Climate United Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (“Climate United”), is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate, People to join our team and support all aspects of human resources, as well as collaborating with other members of the team on ongoing initiatives.  This role is crucial in supporting our organization and ensuring we attract and retain top talent to drive our impact. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in talent acquisition efforts, including job posting, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks. 
  • Support the onboarding process by preparing materials, coordinating logistics, and facilitating new employee orientation sessions. 

  • Assist in planning and executing events such as team and executive meetings, retreats, and team-building activities. 

  • Coordinate logistics, manage invitations, and ensure all event details are organized and executed seamlessly. 

  • Support the preparation for large team meetings and other governance-related activities. 

  • Assist in compiling report and presentations as needed. 

  • Other dutes as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field and or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in HR or administrative roles, with exposure to recruiting, onboarding and or event planning preferred. 

  • Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements a plus. 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining confidentiality.
