Job Purpose

The Route Sales Driver sells, delivers and merchandises (stocks), snacks in designated retail outlets in a specific territory. Calls on prospective customers to solicit new business. Listens to and works with management to resolve customer complaints
Essential Functions
• Drives route delivery van to assigned retail outlets per day.
• Travels into retail outlet to merchandising area and takes inventory of store stock. Prepares the order using a handheld computer. Returns to truck and prints order.
• Physically removes needed cases from route delivery van and places on 2-wheel cart.
• Travels through Distribution Center (warehouse) and loads needed cases of merchandise onto pull cart and onto the van.
• May call on prospective customers to solicit new business.
• Listens to and works with management to resolve customer complaints. • Communicates with store personnel concerning merchandising, promotional events, and other subjects related to business.
• Verifies load with checkout person via physical count and handheld computer.
• Collect cash/checks from customers and reconciles the money against the invoice. Deposits money into the safe at the end of the day.
• Place stock on shelves or racks. • Special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Some delivery or trucking experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Physical stamina to load and unload products. • Some technical proficiency to use handheld devices/email effectively and efficiently.
• Solid verbal and written communication ability.
• Relationship Builder.

• Good written and verbal communication.

- $13.75 -$16.00/pay per hour depending upon experience. Commission on top of hourly pay.
