Position Overview

The Manager, Business Systems will have primary ownership and responsibility for the strategic direction, management, and optimization of all business applications and processes across the organization. This role will encompass overseeing the integration and alignment of technology solutions with business objectives, ensuring that systems are not only effective and efficient but also evolve in tandem with the organization’s changing needs and growth.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all business applications, ensuring they support operational and strategic goals.

  • Gain a deep understanding of billing, pre-sales/post-sales, support processes, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technology needs across all business units, advising on and implementing the best technology solutions.

  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives.

  • Document and maintain comprehensive business rules and business process documentation.

  • Lead cross-functional project planning and execution, including resource allocation, task management, and coordination of deliverables.

  • Provide guidance and technical oversight to the engineer on the team, fostering a collaborative environment.

  • Conduct regular assessments to improve and optimize the company's application stack

Who You Are

  • Proficiency with integration platforms, APIs, and data mapping to ensure seamless data flow between business applications.

  • Experience with managing and configuring SaaS platforms (such as CRM, ERP, or billing systems) and customizing solutions to meet business needs.

  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and basic querying skills (SQL or similar) to support reporting and data integrity initiatives.

  • Knowledge of IT security principles, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR) to ensure secure and compliant use of business applications.

  • Familiarity with technology selection, integration, and support for business systems in a SaaS or software-driven environment.

  • Strong project management and task prioritization skills; experience leading cross-functional teams and projects.

  • Ability to facilitate productive meetings and drive consensus among stakeholders.

  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on optimizing processes and workflows.
