The Role
We are very excited to be making our first full-time design hire at KatalystDI! You will work in a cross-functional manner with Product, Engineering and QA to conduct research, prototype solutions and deliver high quality customer experiences. This is a remote, US-based role.
We are looking for a strong designer to envision the future of KatalystDI’s platform — someone who can drive design strategy, ideation, prioritization, problem solving, and design delivery. If you are passionate about building intuitive solutions that simplify complexity, we would love to talk with you.
As a Senior Product Designer on our team, you will:
Ramp up on the core construction personas our platform is targeting with our solutions.
Partner closely with the Product and Engineering teams to discover and solve complex problems.
Deeply understand user needs and drive alignment around core platform concepts by creating and collaborating on models, concept diagrams, workflow diagrams, and journey maps.
Design flows, prototypes, sketches, and test plans for your features.
Design to consistently scale and leverage shareable components focused on simplicity and usability.
Have a deep understanding of our company strategies, objectives, and actively align your ideas and work with them.
Your Skills & Experience
6+ years experience in Product Design or a related role.
Experience with SaaS or PaaS enterprise applications.
Experience solving complex problems around workflows, platform communication and data visualization initiatives across both web and mobile.
You are self-motivated, exceptionally detail-oriented, and have a strong portfolio showcasing your best work.
You work collaboratively, enjoy crossing back and forth between UX and visual design, and love to see your work ship — quickly.
Strong understanding of user-centered design approaches and has experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights.
Advanced ability to communicate complex information using design tools, including low fidelity to high fidelity prototypes, journey maps, storyboards, service blueprints, task flows, diagrams, wireframes & specs, and presentations.
Strong fluency in design and prototyping software such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, UXPin, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools.
Strong ability to present designs and tell a story through their work to solicit actionable feedback from users and key stakeholders.
Able to rapidly iterate on design approaches and discard or revisit ideas that aren't working, with low-ego.
A collaborative attitude, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and ability to be a strong partner to product managers and engineers throughout the design process.
