The Role:
In this role, you will manage and nurture key client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving account growth. You will work closely with clients to understand their payment processing needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure the seamless delivery of our services. The Account Manager will report to the VP of Recurring Strategy.
While this is a hybrid position based in Atlanta, you will have the opportunity to work remote primarily.
Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key accounts, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Understand Client Needs: Develop a deep understanding of clients' business models and payment processing needs, providing expert advice on how to optimize their payment systems.
- Account Growth: Identify opportunities to grow client accounts by upselling additional products and services, such as payment gateways, fraud prevention tools, and analytics solutions.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively manage and resolve any client concerns or issues, working cross-functionally with internal teams (technical, product, and support) to deliver timely and effective solutions.
- Payments Expertise: Provide clients with industry insights and updates on trends, regulations, and best practices within the payments ecosystem, ensuring they remain compliant and competitive.
- Client Onboarding & Training: Assist in the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring smooth integration and adoption of our payment solutions.
- Contract Renewals & Negotiations: Lead contract renewal discussions and negotiations, ensuring that terms align with both client needs and company objectives.
- Reporting & Performance Tracking: Regularly review account performance, providing clients with detailed reports on payment metrics, trends, and optimization strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, product, and technical teams to ensure clients’ needs are met and to influence future product development based on client feedback.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 3+ years of account management experience in the payments industry, preferably with exposure to payment gateways, acquiring, or processing.
- In-depth knowledge of payment processing and common payment technologies (e.g., credit card processing, ACH, mobile payments).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to analyze payment data and trends to provide actionable insights to clients and improve their payment processing outcomes.
- Comfort working with technical teams and understanding the integration of payment systems.
