The Role:
As a BI Analyst, you be defining, developing, and maintaining critical business and operational reports through a partnership with decision-makers, systems owners, and end-users. This role will contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of data from clients to drive business planning in data management of payment operations. You will report directly to the Chief Data Scientist.
While this is a hybrid position, you will have the opportunity to work remote primarily.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams to implement analytics systems and data structures that support large-scale data analysis and the delivery of machine learning models.
- Mine and manipulate data from databases, identify data needs, and drive data quality improvement projects.
- Provide advice and counsel related to technology or business operations, ensuring essential procedures are followed and contributing to defining standards.
- Define and document business requirements, including business process mapping and data modeling.
- Manage and oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of BI dashboards, reports, and analytics tools.
- Create new dashboards and reports to provide meaningful insights to teams such as Sales, Marketing, and Development.
- Conduct data analysis to provide actionable insights and support decision-making for internal teams and clients.
- Coordinate with technical teams to resolve issues, improve system performance, and implement new features.
- Ensure data quality and integrity within the platform through validation and testing procedures.
- Assist in defining KPIs, metrics, and reporting standards to align with business objectives.
- Support BI platform users with troubleshooting, training, and general platform knowledge.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure) and SaaS-based solutions.
- Solid understanding of data structures, databases, and data governance principles.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with stakeholders from different departments, including IT, operations, and leadership.
- Knowledge of card payment industry is a plus.
