The Role:
Optimized Payments is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations, including customer invoicing, vendor payments, and compliance. This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting operational efficiency. The Bookkeeper will report to the Finance and Operations Manager.
While this is a hybrid position based in Atlanta, you will have the opportunity to work remote primarily.
Responsibilities:
Financial Operations
- Manage customer invoicing, vendor payments, and cash flow.
- Maintain and reconcile financial records using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or Business Central).
- Oversee sales tax reconciliation and compliance across multiple jurisdictions using Avalara software.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly Budget vs. Actual reports for review.
Expense and Tax Management
- Oversee the company’s expense management platform (Ramp), ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Manage and file 1099 forms using Track1099 software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations.
Accounting Support
- Maintain accurate depreciation schedules in Excel for federal, AMT, state, and book purposes.
- Assist with R&D calculations and other financial reporting as needed.
- Collaborate with the Finance and Operations Manager and external accounting firm to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or Business Central) is required.
- Experience with expense management tools (e.g., Ramp) and tax software (e.g., Avalara, Track1099).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
