The Role:
The Finance and Operations Manager will oversee financial operations, optimize processes, and support strategic decision-making through detailed financial insights. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or Business Central), expertise in managing expense management tools such as Ramp, and a passion for operational excellence in a fast-paced SaaS environment. This role will report to the CEO.
While this is a hybrid position based in Atlanta, you will have the opportunity to work remote primarily.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Planning
- Support the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement process improvements to enhance financial performance.
- Report Key Performance Indicators at monthly management meetings.
Policy Development and Maintenance
- Draft, review, and update company policies and procedures to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Maintain an organized and accessible repository of policies in Confluence for company-wide use.
Collaboration and Compliance
- Work closely with Optimized Payments’ accounting firm to ensure accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit readiness.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal teams on financial operations and budget inquiries.
Equity Management
- Utilize Carta for managing equity plans, cap table administration, and ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with equity-related policies and reporting requirements.
Supplier Invoicing Portals
- Collaborate with suppliers using invoicing platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, and Bill.com to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in financial management or operations, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or Business Central) is required.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Proven track record of process improvement and financial system implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
