Custodial/Handyman
Reports to: Facilities Operations Manager
The custodial/handyman role involves a wide variety of tasks, including but not limited to cleaning, minor carpentry, assembling furniture, setting up for events, moving equipment, helping with loading/unloading, and performing basic landscaping tasks. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, professional appearance, and knowledge in various trades, from carpentry and tiling to light plumbing and electrical work. This position requires evening and weekend hours as needed.
Responsibilities:

General Maintenance: Performs routine inspections and repairs to ensure the property remains pristine and well-maintained.

Cleaning & Setup: Performs general cleaning, furniture assembly, and event setup.

Landscaping: Assists with landscaping tasks, including tree trimming and bush hogging.

Carpentry & Minor Repairs: Performs light carpentry, drywalling, minor electrical, plumbing issues, and painting.

Equipment: Assists staff with loading, unloading, and moving equipment as needed.

Safety & Cleanliness: Ensures a clean, safe environment through regular maintenance and addressing issues as they arise.
Skills

Proficiency in carpentry, minor plumbing, electrical work, basic tiling and general maintenance tasks

Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; bilingual ability is a plus.
Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance, custodial/handyman work, or related trades required.

Driver's License: Required.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous maintenance experience, particularly in building upkeep and general repairs.

Track record of successful carpentry or craftsmanship work.
