OVERVIEW OF ROLE OR HOW THE ROLE MAKES AN IMPACT

 

Gale Pacific is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic National Sales Manager to lead our Home Center Sales Team.  This role is responsible for delivering top and bottom-line revenue for Coolaroo and Gale branded products. The National Sales Manager will develop a comprehensive sales strategy for each Home Center account, leading a team of (1) Key Account Manager and (1) Sales Analyst and (1) Part Time Merchandiser to execute with omnichannel retailers.  This role will oversee all costs associated with the department and budgeting for key retail events including; Store Manager Meeting, Foundation events and Trade Shows.  The National Sales Manager will act as the key point of contact for our home center accounts, responsible for fostering strong cross functional relationships, knowledge and collaboration. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Construct overall strategy for success for the Home Center Business Unit
  • Cultivate customer relationships and participate in foundation/retailer event schedule
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue objectives
  • Reports to upper management on market and competitive trends
  • Aligns strategy with product marketing to improve product development
  • Manage a team of local and key merchandising initiatives 
  • Creates a shared vision for success with internal/external partners
  • Improve efficiencies and cost to serve
  • Train sales team on effective techniques
  • Achieve strong customer support behind priority product launches
  • Manage channel conflict and partnership alignment
  • Owner of the product line review cycle and performance
  • Develop 5 year roadmap for channel improvement
  • Improve forecast accuracy and OTIF metrics
  • Establish scalable distribution wins to meet partnership objectives
  • Act as a product advocate and contribute to closing major deals
  • Develop monthly sales forecasts for management review that include purchase trends, on hand inventory, POS, growth trends, seasonality trends and promotional activity.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain team in a coordinated S&OP process to ensure necessary forward stock cover
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams 

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5 years of relevant sales experience
  • Sales Team Management
  • Experience working with Home Center Retailers
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in using data and metrics to drive decisions
  • Expert skill set in Microsoft suite
