OVERVIEW OF ROLE OR HOW THE ROLE MAKES AN IMPACT

 

We are looking for a strategic, creative, and hands-on Content and Communications Manager to join our Brand Experience Team, playing a critical role in how our brand comes to life across every customer, employee, and stakeholder touchpoint. This is a highly collaborative role that blends big-picture brand storytelling with day-to-day content creation, ensuring every piece of communication – from product descriptions to press releases – reinforces our brand presence in our markets and strengthens our customer connection.

 

As both a strategic thinker and skilled writer, this person will shape our overarching content and communications strategy while also creating high-quality content that brings our brands to life across digital, print, and internal platforms.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content and communications strategy to support our brand positioning, enhance the brand experience, and strengthen our connection with customers, employees, and partners.
  • Write, edit, and create a wide range of long and short form content for a variety of channels, including websites, blogs, press releases, newsletters, packaging, video scripts, social media, and marketing materials.
  • Ensure all content contributes to a consistent, cohesive brand story, aligned with our brand voice, personality, and values.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Sales teams to craft messaging to support customer journeys across touchpoints, from product discovery to post-purchase engagement.
  • Oversee the company’s internal communications, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the company’s vision and brand values.
  • Manage media and influencer relations, including crafting pitches, handling press inquiries, and building relationships with journalists and industry influencers.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research and utilize analytics to inform SEO/SEM strategies across e-commerce platforms to improve search rankings, and drive traffic and engagement.
  • Master A+ e-commerce product listing content, ensuring product descriptions, features, and benefits are communication effectively to maximize conversion rates.
  • Manage and enhance the company’s social media presence, developing and curating engaging content for social media platforms to foster community interaction and increase followers.
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communications strategies and campaigns, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to develop demand generation strategies, creating content tailored for each step of the customer journey to increase conversions and encourage customer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, HR, and product development to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in content creation and communications.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, corporate communications, digital marketing, or related field, with a proven track record of both strategic leadership and hands-on content creation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to write across formats – from compelling brand narratives to clear, concise product copy.
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning, tone of voice development, and content’s role in shaping the brand experience.
  • Ability to adapt tone and style to match audiences and channels while maintaining brand voice and tone.
  • Highly collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across departments to align messaging and support both brand and business goals.
  • SEO knowledge and experience using performance data and analytics to guide content development and optimization.
  • A proactive, creative thinker with excellent attention to detail, a strategic mindset and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.  
  • Experience managing freelances, creative agencies, or external writers is a plus.
