OVERVIEW OF ROLE OR HOW THE ROLE MAKES AN IMPACT

 

As a Supply Chain Analyst at Gale Pacific, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of products within our supply chain ecosystem. You will be responsible for managing purchasing and transfer orders for all global suppliers and managing all global S&OP reporting. The ideal candidate is an expert in Power BI, Excel and data analytics.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Create and maintain Monthly S&OP reports, including projected stock on hand, consumption, supplier RIFOT, cancellations, lead time analysis and global inventory.
  • Analyze reports against monthly KPIs to report out to broader team.
  • Collaborate with logistics, sourcing, order management and sales to ensure reporting meets cross functional needs.

 

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and assess stock replenishment needs.
  • Develop strategies to minimize excess inventory and shortages, ensuring optimal inventory turnover.
  • Track key customer opportunities to ensure timely purchasing to ensure inventory levels are aligned with forecasted demand.
  • Track and update estimated time of purchase order delivery to communicate risks to the business.
  • Manage warehouse transfers to ensure all locations have appropriate inventory levels.

 

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.
  • Communicate timely actions to postpone or advance purchase orders to hit key customer dates.
  • Ensure system lead times are accurate based on actuals to trigger appropriate buy messages.

 

Process Improvement

  • Identify and analyze inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the supply chain and propose improvements.
  • Work with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize order quantities, lead times, and shipment schedules.
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce costs and improve supply chain responsiveness and reliability.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience in supply chain analysis, purchasing, or forecasting.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as D365, is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite office products
