OVERVIEW OF ROLE OR HOW THE ROLE MAKES AN IMPACT 

 

The Office Manager in Charlotte, NC, is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the office by managing day-to-day administrative activities, supporting staff, and maintaining a productive work environment. This role serves as the primary point of contact for office services and staff that will require cross-functional collaboration, and excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Oversee daily operations of the office, ensuring a well-maintained and organized workspace 

  • Manage office supplies and inventory, order supplies as needed 

  • Maintain building management relationship to coordinate maintenance and repair of office equipment and facilities  

  • Manage building and office invoices 

  • Oversee vendor relationships and contracts 

  • Support finance team in administrative budgets 

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages 

  • Assist coordination of company events, office activities, and food/beverage orders, as well as set up and breakdown of events 

  • Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness  

  • Assist onboarding and offboarding of employees, including setting up workstations and distribution or collection of company owned equipment 

  • Support administrative tasks for the Executive and Senior Management team that could include expenses, travel, and meeting arrangements 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred 

  • 3-5 years’ experience if office management or similar role 

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 

  • Proven ability to manage travel and financial systems preferred (e.g. SAP Concur)
