Invariant seeks a Graphic Designer to join our growing Strategic Communications and Public Affairs team. You’ll work with an integrated team in digital and print media, across internal (pitches, marketing collateral, etc) and client work.
Our clients range from well-known Fortune 500 companies to the most disruptive start-ups in the country, and our work ranges from social media content to whitepaper design and digital ads.
As our team grows, we are seeking an experienced designer to serve internal and external needs, who can grow with us and collaborate flexibly—often outside the traditional boundaries of design roles. If you are an experienced graphic designer looking at broader creative, strategic, and storytelling opportunities, you may be a great fit with our team.
What you’ll do
- Conceptualize and design digital content for clients across a variety of asset types in partnership with a digital strategist. Examples include:
- Social media graphics
- Display banners
- Potentially small animations
- Toolkit and media kit design
- Microsite and web design within existing website structures
- Design internal content for our growing team including:
- Pitch decks
- Reports
- Mockups of activations
- Design a variety of print assets such as:
- Fact sheets
- Advocacy print-outs
- Proposals
- Whitepapers
- Take care of design projects from concept to delivery, including internal and external education about why and how concepting and design choices are made
- Provide art direction for still/video shoots where needed
- Drive consistency in designs and content across all asset types
- Review product positioning and digital content to identify room for improvement
- Work as creative lead with vendors, freelancers, and partners
- Stay up to date with emerging digital trends and culture
Who you are
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in design and/or creative roles
- Experience in political campaigns, offices, and other roles is strongly encouraged
- Strong understanding of all content opportunities across social media platforms
- Strong communications skills, including internal and external education about design and creative products
- Excellent time management skills. Comfortable and adaptive when working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
