Anovion Technologies is seeking a Project Cost Engineer/Scheduler. This person will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting cost-related data for key expansion projects. This person must adhere to Anovion’s core values.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

1.        Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing cost-related inputs and helping management set realistic financial targets.

2.       Implement and maintain progress measurement systems and KPI’s.

3.        Analyze the cost of manufacturing equipment and construction materials and services, and other direct or indirect costs associated with capital projects.

4.        Monitor and control project costs throughout their lifecycle, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions as needed.

5.        Provide input during the RFQ process for capital project equipment and services.

6.        Assist with negotiating terms and conditions in contract negotiations.

7.       Prepare regular cost reports and financial statements, highlighting key cost drivers, cost variances, and performance against budget or forecast. 

8.       Work with finance department and EPC firms to maintain updated cash flow forecasts to track actual and forecasted spending on key major capital projects.

9.        Work with finance department to ensure accurate valuation of assets and proper accounting treatment.

10.     Identify opportunities for cost reduction.

11.     Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and industry regulations. Assist in internal and external audits related to cost accounting.

12.     Conduct benchmarking analyses for engineering services and equipment costs.

13.     Prepare project schedules and monitor progress.

14.    Conduct overall project risk assessments related to cost, schedules, and staffing, and provide recommendations to mitigate potential impacts.

15.    Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations for senior management to aid decision-making processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Or equivalent related work experience.
  • Experience in cost accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, cost estimation, and cost reporting.
  • 5.       Proficiency in using project management and financial software, as well as advanced spreadsheet tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Excel).

    Working Environment

    While performing the essential responsibilities of this position, team member generally will work in a manufacturing environment. While in manufacturing areas, the team member may also be exposed to moderate background noise, moderate amounts of airborne graphite dust, presence of natural and artificial light, exposure to work temperatures from ambient to controlled, hard surfaces for standing and walking. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required.
