Position Overview
The Internal IT is responsible for the design, deployment, management, and optimization of all internal IT systems and tools. This role owns the internal technology stack and ensures systems such as RMM, EDR, PSA, M365, email, and security platforms are stable, secure, and scalable. This is a hands-on, non-entry-level role requiring experience with system administration, tool rollouts, and internal IT project ownership.
Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain internal systems including RMM, EDR, PSA, M365, email, identity, and security platforms

Lead internal tool rollouts, upgrades, and migrations (planning, execution, testing, documentation, and training)

Manage internal user lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, permissions, licensing, and access control

Own internal patching, update policies, and compliance across all systems

Monitor and remediate internal system health, performance, and security alerts

Manage internal endpoint standards, configuration baselines, and automation policies
-
Oversee internal SaaS licensing, cost management, and compliance audits
-
Maintain documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams in ITGlue or related systems
-
Support and maintain internal network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, printers, and conference room systems

Partner with leadership to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities

Ensure security best practices are followed (MFA, conditional access, EDR policies, encryption, least privilege, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Strong knowledge of Windows OS, M365 administration, and identity management
-
Hands-on experience with RMM, EDR, PSA, and email systems
-
Experience leading tool deployments and internal IT projects

Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and internal controls
-
Strong documentation and process design skills
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
-
Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
Credentials & Experience
-
2+ years of hands-on internal IT or systems administration experience required
-
Experience managing and deploying internal IT tools (RMM, EDR, PSA, M365, etc.)

CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or similar certifications preferred
-
Experience with ConnectWise, ITGlue, or similar platforms strongly preferred
Time Management & Accountability

Update ticketing system with detailed notes and time entries upon task completion
-
8 hours of accountable time required daily

Time entries must be completed by EOB each day

Timesheets submitted on schedule regardless of PTO

Calendar must be kept current to reflect availability

Use dispatch calendar to schedule tasks and manage workload
