Role Description

Omni Fiber LLC is looking for a dedicated employee who can take initiative while being detail-oriented to assist Technicians and Project Managers to install, service and maintain various Aspects of Fiber Telecommunications. Enduring long periods of standing, kneeling, bending, climbing. Must be physically capable of carrying and pulling wires and cables. The job May Requires traveling.; must be willing to travel.

 

Minimum Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED is preferred. Related trade work experience is preferred but not required. Valid Driver’s License for operation of company vehicles and travel. Electrical Knowledge.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:

·         Telecommunication experience

·         Electrical background or knowledge

  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade for fire and security camera installations.
  • Basic Computer skills and tablet use of PC Windows based operating systems and Android Devices.
  • Basic typing skills to ensure accurate entry of service request details, tickets, and corresponding work e-mails.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow enforced safety procedures in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Work will be performed off scissor lifts and ladders.
  • Safety awareness: familiarizes with hazards in work area and how to protect themselves.
  • Keep all work areas clean, neat, and orderly. This is a reflection of your work and integrity with our clients and customers.
  • Ability to take initiatives to complete project tasks as assigned from Technicians and project management.
  • Strong oral and written Communication (written, verbal and nonverbal).
  • Punctual and reliable attendance to meet project deadlines.
  • Positive, friendly attitude, IMPORTANT customer client mentality.
  • Willingness to learn new technology, materials, repairs, and service systems.
  • Willingness to assume and learn new responsibilities.

  • Reports any client problems or damage to direct supervisor and management immediately.
  • Enduring long periods of standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and spotting scissor-lifts.
  • Must be physically capable of carrying and pulling wires and cables.

Compensation:

$18.00 -$20.00 an hour based on experience
