Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized AP/AR Specialist, reporting to an AR Manager, to manage our company's day-to-day financial transactions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments and collections. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Schedule and prepare payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely receipt of payments
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and manage collections process
- Address and resolve client billing issues and disputes
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in both AP and AR roles
- Proficient in accounting and billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Chargebee)
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with spreadsheets and formulas
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-entity environment
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- NetSuite and QuickBooks Online ERP system experience a plus
Work Environment:
- Full-time position
- Hybrid (3 days a week in office)
