POSITION SUMMARY

As our Director of Group Sales, you will own the responsibility of building group sales for our organization. Utilizing your sales and business acumen, you will drive new and repeat group guests to our plethora of luxury vacation destinations. You must be a dynamic, self-starter who works to achieve the goals as developed together with our VP of Sales & Marketing. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Work with the VP of Sales & Marketing and Revenue teams to develop and implement the group sales strategy (SMERF markets, corporate retreats, executive conferences, with a major focus on youth and amateur sports, religious/faith-based retreats and conferences, family reunions, niche tradeshows and expos, business to business travel, relocation stays, and corporate team-building events.) 
•    Manage full-cycle group experience (sourcing, contracting, and management of groups prior to a 30-day arrival).  
•    Will meet/greet groups, be a point of contact for all group concerns and liaise between groups and internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
•    Network to develop and manage vendor/partner relationships that drive group sales and enhance group experience (transportation, catering/food services, entertainment, etc.).
•    Proactively assesses/reacts to market trends in the hospitality environment and industries that impact hospitality.  Must demonstrate consistent ability to effectively and efficiently understand/communicate trends/factors that impact group sales performance. 
•    Create and nurture strong relationships with the internal departments to ensure high-quality, white-glove group guest experiences.
•    Learn and employ brand guidelines and standards as the face of our brand in the group sales space.
•    Develop and drive the design of appropriate goals and budget.
•    Manage group sales activity and travel schedule.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality group sales
  • 2+ years as a sales leader
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and presentation abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
  • Ability to proactively anticipate and exceed guest needs and expectations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires prospecting
