POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Appliance Repair & Maintenance Technician is a specialty technician who serves as the technical anchor for all appliance repairs across Villatel’s Davenport based portfolio. While this role performs advanced maintenance across all residential systems, the primary focal point is the diagnostic, repair, and lifecycle management of all major household appliances. You will manage appliance-related vendors and ensure all equipment meet Villatel’s strict standards of operational excellence.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Appliance Specialization & Technical Leadership:

    • Maintain the full functionality of all residential appliances, including high-end refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, and laundry units.
    • Execute high-level repairs and preventative maintenance on appliances and mechanical systems when required. Including but not limited to washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerators, ice makers, etc.
    • Manage and oversee third-party appliance vendors to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and according to Villatel standards.
    • Perform final "punch" inspections on appliances and appliance-related repairs to guarantee the home is guest-ready.
    • Conduct occasional training sessions for the M&E team on basic appliance troubleshooting and proper maintenance to prevent common failures.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert for all appliance-related work orders and preventative maintenance tracking within Breezeway.
    • Maintain a meticulous record of work orders and inventory levels for pool chemicals, spare parts, and tools.

 

Operational Continuity:

    • Function as a highly-skilled, hands-on technician in the field, independently completing maintenance and engineering tickets across all disciplines as needed, including Plumbing, Electric, and HVAC.
    • Maintain full accountability for the timely and accurate execution of assigned work orders, ensuring all residential and facility repairs meet Villatel’s standards of operational excellence.
    • Coordinate with Dispatch and the MOD to ensure urgent maintenance tickets are prioritized and resolved efficiently.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial maintenance, with a heavy emphasis on appliance repair.
  • Proven expertise in specialized trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
  • Strong project management and the ability to oversee vendor performance on specialized repairs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call rotations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between local sites or vendor offices as needed.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a major plus to assist in communicating with a diverse team.
