POSITION SUMMARY: The Club Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, member satisfaction, and overall success of the club, which is inclusive of a community pool, both public and private event management, dock operations, retail and activities. This role requires a hands-on, DIY mentality to ensure operational excellence. Given our member base, there is an exceedingly high expectation for performance; the Club manager must be committed to maintaining an elevated atmosphere and offering for all members and guests.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring smooth functioning of all service areas.
- Enforce club policies, procedures, and standards to maintain safety, cleanliness, and quality.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely deliveries and quality of goods/services.
Member Services
- Plan and oversee events, programs, and activities that enhance the club experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with club members and guests, ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
- Address member inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Retail and Activity Development
- This role offers a unique opportunity to design and build out a new retail and activity component that has not yet been implemented.
- The Club Manager will be a critical part of this process and should bring creative ideas and a very hands-on approach to launching and managing this new business line.
Financial & Administrative Duties
- Manage budgets, control costs, and achieve financial targets.
- Monitor revenue streams (membership, food & beverage, events, rentals, etc.) and identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare reports on performance, club usage, and financials for senior management.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations, particularly those pertaining to pool and dock operations.
- Maintain security protocols for members, guests, staff, and facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure operational excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2–4 years of experience in club, hotel, resort, or hospitality management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of boating/sailing, club operations, food & beverage, or recreational operations is a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently and execute maintenance or minor repairs with a strong Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset.
- Must be available to work evening shifts and weekends. Standard hours are 12noon - 8PM Wednesday through Sunday (subject to change based on business needs)
