Overview
Atlona is currently looking for a RMA Quality Technician to perform inspections and calibrations on Video Matrix Switchers, AVoIP and Control Systems. You will be maintaining the day-to-day activities of the calibration/RMA lab, ensure the company’s RMA processes are performed consistently producing the highest quality services to both internal and external customers in a timely manner. You will be working closely with Technical Support and Software QA teams at Atlona’s San Jose, CA headquarters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Perform incoming inspections and document all related information for RMA products and help determine if the returned products are defective or “NPF” (no problem found).
§ Assess RMA returns and provide monthly feedback to management team.
§ Actively seek out and propose solutions to management of ways to improve quality of products, services, processes.
§ Coordinate and collaborate return processes with Technical Support and Shipping Department.
§ Update firmware and perform product burn-in.
§ Contributes to establishing department processes, standards, procedures and practices.

Qualifications:
§ At least 2 years of experience in AV industry focusing on RMA testing/quality is required including some of the following skills:
§ Understanding of the RMA process and priority management of lab tasks
§ Knowledge of RS-232 and IP control concepts
§ Knowledge of HdBaseT performance and limitations
§ Knowledge and use of Atlona products.
§ Experience with installation, maintenance, and upgrade of A/V lab environment
§ Experience with cable termination for CAT 6A cabling and standards for wire care
§ Experience with cable termination for Analog audio and standard
§ Experience with bug tracking and correspondence with QA/ Product management teams
