Overview

Atlona is seeking an experienced training and curriculum development manager with a strong knowledge of professional audio-visual technology, training best practices, learning management systems, video production, and product training curriculum creation. This team member will take a leadership role in managing the award-winning Atlona Academy program, it’s physical and digital assets, cloud-based learning system, training content and administration of in-person and remote training sessions. The Atlona Academy and the Training Manager play a vital role in expanding the industry awareness of Atlona and increasing sales of Atlona products and solutions.

Location: San Jose, CA, or Tinley Park, IL. Alternative work from home arrangements are possible for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  •     Day-to-day operation of Atlona Academy product training and certification program
  •        Design, planning, and implementation of all Atlona training programs, policies, and procedures
  •        Management of Atlona’s online learning management system including admin and student portals, instructional content upload, student registration, reporting and general maintenance
  •        Curriculum planning and creation that focuses on AV technology skills, new product training, AV Sales Skills, and AV Systems Design that ensure successful system integration with Atlona technologies
  •        Creation and administration of Atlona’s Certification and Authorized Reseller programs including coursework creation, student assignment grading, plus achievement verification and reporting
  •        Creation and administration of Atlona employee onboarding
  •        Delivery of curriculum via recorded and live training sessions at our global training centers, partner facilities, and at trade events
  •        Maintenance of training materials and aids to ensure they are up to date and effective
  •        Oversee and manage Atlona Academy webinars and the GoToWebinar platform including setup and operation of webinars as well as both pre and post broadcast reporting and communication of data to relevant teams
  •        Coordination and execution of North American regional and factory training events as well as coordination and execution of employee training as it relates to company products and associated technologies; including coordination with other trainers to create training material, agendas, lab provisions and to assist in the coordination of attendee details including lodging, airfare, travel, food, and all other related activities including post event surveys and follow-up
  •        Generate weekly, quarterly, and yearly reporting metrics associated with Atlona training and certification including staff, partner, and dealer certification as well as product specific certification tied to sales programs
  •        Coordinate with relevant industry trade organizations for accreditation, renewal units, and management of all course and material associated with accreditation
  •        Coordination with global Field Training team members on planning, administration, and reporting of all International Atlona Academy product training and certification programs
  •        Coordination with Sales team members to facilitate partner and event trainings
  •        Coordination with Marketing team on LMS portal updates and awareness of new Training events and content
  •       Coordination with Product Marketing and Product Management teams to develop training and certification programs for new products and technology updates
  •        Plus, other duties as assigned by Senior Management

 

Required Education and Experience

  •        Must have BS Degree in associated field and/or Relevant Certifications
  •        Relevant industry certifications are a plus
  •        Must have 4-6 years’ experience working with audio and video technologies with a deep understanding of these AV concepts: digital signals, HDMI, HDBaseT, IP networking, AV over IP, AV control and programming (simple testing may be required to qualify the skillset)
  •        8-10 years’ experience in design and roll out of enterprise education programs
  •        Must have proven experience in sales training/education environment including experience on product training with field sales teams
  •        Strong background and experience in live instructor led education
  •        Must have experience with media and video creation tools such as PowerPoint, Keynote, Final Cut Pro, Captivate and other relevant editing software and hardware solutions
  •        Must have hands on experience working with and creating education content for online learning management systems such as Litmos
  •        Excellent computer skills, MS Office, Web, CRM Tools (Netsuite)
  •        Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  •        Willingness to travel domestically and some international travel.
