Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manger the Buyer will be responsible for varied inventory planning and purchasing of materials and spare parts to ensure quality of purchased products, supplier performance and inventory management.
This position will require a forward thinking individual who is comfortable actively participating in all aspects of procurement. The successful candidate works well with cross functional departmental teams, has strong attention to detail, takes personal accountability for timely completion of self-directed tasks and thrives in a fast paced deadline-driven environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Using a forecast; enter PO’s and follow up to ensure quality and on time deliveries.
- Receive inventory serial numbers into our ERP system
- Support and assist other departments to ensure the accuracy of of purchasing transactions throughout the company
- Ensure data accuracy in our internal ERP system
- Conduct weekly Inventory reconciliations between our ERP system and our 2 warehouse locations.
- Assist in managing inventory levels for mulitple warehouse locations
- Produce and maintain all required reports (backorders, open transfer orders, item receipts etc.)
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in the field.
- Ability to effectively manage job responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills and good understanding of overall business objectives.
- Inventory management and related planning and forecasting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a professional manner; proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing both internally and with suppliers.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle changing priorities and multi-task.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office products and Netsuite ERP system
