The BD Manager will be responsible for helping to identify, qualify and quantify the business opportunities through EDU end-users, consultants and channel partners. The BD Manager will be responsible development and execution of go to market strategies for the Education vertical, grow and manage relationships with AV and IT consultants and educational institutions.

The BD Manager will work in a “team” environment, collaborating with the Sales, Marketing, Training, Technical Support, and Product Management teams. The BD Manager will develop and help to execute strategy, goals and expectations for EDU contacts, working closely with the sales team to help identify new business prospects; identify long and short term opportunities, and build out the sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and fully executing North America EDU business plan and growth strategy
  • Managing EDU related trade shows and events
  • Managing and fully executing EDU program and constantly working on refining and improving the program
  • Identifying partnerships and affiliations with in EDU market
  • Managing budget
  • Defining goals, KPI’s and metrics to ensure success of EDU business plan
  • Defining and helping to develop materials and sales tools to achieve strategy goals ( working close with marketing organization )
  • Evangelizing EDU strategy with in entire organization
  • Developing pipeline of projects and drive projects to completion through close collaboration with sales team and channel
  • Developing and executing a hands-on training plan with key EDU partners
  • Developing partnership and building personal relationships with EDU customers on the technical level (with decision makers and engineers)
  • Collecting product feedback and ideas and help driving feedback to product team

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong level of understanding and experience with network components and concepts such as
    • Routers, switchers, load balancers and other networking components from variety of vendors.
    • VLANs, VPN, Unicast vs. Multicast, Management Networks, IP subnetting and network design
  • 5-7 years of sales management experience within Audio Visual and or IP Network fields
  • BA/BS in marketing or business management preferred
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced and changing market environment
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
