Montclair Film connects global filmmakers with audiences in a diverse, culturally vibrant community by presenting films and year-round programs that engage, entertain and educate through the power of visual storytelling. Over the course of our organization’s ten year history, we have grown from a seven day film festival event into New Jersey’s leading film non-profit, featuring year-round film screenings, education programs in film and media arts, storytelling events, musical performances, and community partnerships. Additionally, the organization continues to expand the reach and impact of the annual Montclair Film Festival, which draws tens of thousands of patrons to Montclair each year, connecting film artists with audiences in new and innovative ways.
In building for the future, Montclair Film has recently taken on the renovation and operation of The Clairidge, an established, beloved arthouse cinema that will screen films 365 days a year on its six screens while continuing to serve as a home for screenings at the annual Montclair Film Festival.
