About the role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Solutions Architect to lead our solutions architecture team. As the VP of Solutions Architect, you will play a crucial role in driving our company's growth and success by providing strategic leadership and technical expertise to design and implement hardware and software solutions that meet our customers' unique needs. The ideal candidate will be one with technical expertise and an enthusiasm for working with customers and finding a way to “get to yes” for their mission.
This role requires domestic and international travel up to 25%.
Due to goTenna’s work with defense, intelligence, and law enforcement customers, employees must be a US, UK, Australian, NZ, or Canadian citizen.
Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic vision for solutions architecture that aligns with the company's goals and objectives to transform how operators connect during critical missions. Be a contributor and leader for business, culture, and mission for the goTenna team and leadership cadre.

Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of solutions architects, ensuring their professional growth and the successful delivery of projects.

Solution Design: Work closely with customers to understand their capability gaps and identify the right combination of goTenna solutions - both current and future - to enable their mission to be safer and more effective. Work directly with the business development team on relevant customer engagements, proposal efforts, and general business growth to support goTenna’s customer and business goals.

Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to provide technical leadership and guidance to relevant goTenna teams. Maintains the ability to lead complex goTenna demonstrations, integrations, and related efforts which showcase the full suite of goTenna capabilities.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and engineering, to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.

Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all solutions meet high-quality standards and adhere to best practices in hardware and software design.

Proficient in technical requirements to integrate goTenna products and services into broader C4ISR/C5ISR and/or IT infrastructures.

Required experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

7+ years experience years experience in a law enforcement, military, intelligence uniformed or civilian role or equivalent
-
5+ years of project and program management experience
-
5+ year experience in participating in government proposals (SBIRs, STRATFis, RFP’s, etc) in a business development or source selection or equivalent role
-
5+ years ATAK knowledge and experience including field deployment, provisioning, sever use, and utilization of accessories and plugins (i.e., goTenna)
-
5+ years utilizing MANET capabilities
-
5+ years of integrating multi-stakeholder technology solutions
-
Experience in integrating hardware and software in to US government applications
-
Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
In-depth knowledge of hardware and software solutions, including MANET, ATAK, ISR technologies, SUAS, autonomy, or related capabilities

Experience managing complex government IT systems

Ability to balance technical and business considerations to drive results.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Must be able to travel internationally

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
Preferred experience:
-
15+ years experience in a law enforcement, military, intelligence uniformed or civilian role or equivalent
-
7+ years ATAK knowledge and experience at the mastery level including field deployment, provisioning, sever use, and utilization of accessories and plugins (i.e., goTenna)

7+ years utilizing MANET capabilities
-
Experience leading a government technology deployment and integration team

Active clearance
-
Experience US Government tactical radio networks, C4ISR, C5ISR or IT systems

Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM to actively manage a portfolio of many accounts and associated opportunities

Master’s degree in engineering, Business or other relevant field
-
Experience in selling to US Department of Defense, Intelligence, Law Enforcement and/public safety customers
ITAR: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Required
Placement at the appropriate job level (entry, senior, etc.) will be determined by a combination of years of experience, demonstration of proficiency in this field, and other qualifications.
