About the Role
goTenna is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager who will be tasked with leading a growing team of QA engineers and managing a rigorous QA process across our full range of hardware and software products. The QA Manager will work collaboratively with cross-departmental leadership to deliver high-quality products to customers on schedule, partnering with the Hardware, Firmware, Software, Product, and Customer Experience teams. This is an opportunity to optimize goTenna’s internal testing methodologies as well as support product improvements based on customer feedback and your own technical expertise. Our team operates in an Agile development environment and this role will include regular product field testing.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Leads QA Team and delivers results by coaching, developing, and managing employees.
● Evaluates production operations from a strategic level to ensure that hardware and software products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specifications and requirements.
● Collaborates with management and senior leadership across production departments and roles to define acceptable quality standards.
● Develops and implements quality assurance standards testing and evaluation processes.
● Maintains product quality by implementing and enforcing quality assurance policies, procedures, and government requirements.
● Ensures quality by careful planning, continuous monitoring, and evaluating job results.
● Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
● Contributes to team efforts by completing senior-level QA tasks as needed.
Required Experience:
● Minimum 7+ years of experience in QA, Software Test Automation, Software Development, and/or Hardware Engineering
● Manual testing experience with Android, iOS, and Web based applications
● Automation experience with Hardware and Mobile Device testing
● Experience with Selenium and Appium (Java, C/C++, or Python with Hardware)
● Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
● Familiarity with debug tools such as ADB, XCode and Postman
● Experience in AWS and/or virtualized environments
● Experience with circuit board level testing using oscilloscopes and multimeters.
● Excellent presentation and communication skills
● Product management skills and QA process skills
Preferred Experience:
● Familiarity in Web or Mobile application development (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift)
● Familiarity with XCodeUI and/or Espresso
● Experience with virtualization and emulation for mobile devices
● Experience with Linux and networking
● Experience using RF test/lab equipment such as network analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
● RF or Telecommunications experience
● Experience working in a technologyp environment
ITAR: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Required
Placement at the appropriate job level (entry, senior, etc) will be determined by a combination of years of experience, demonstration of proficiency in this field, and other qualifications.
Able to lift 30 Ibs.
