High Rock Accounting is searching for Rockstars! We are a growing accounting firm looking to expand our team of Rockstars.


About the Role:
This position is being created to assist our tax team in supporting our clients. The Tax Project Coordinator will be working directly with our technical tax team on communications, client project status, reviewing tax form submissions, and ensuring a smooth process for our team and our clients.

Role Specifics

Role Responsibilities:

·       Support team with quality client service

·       Identify areas for technology efficiency improvements

·       Coordinating client meetings and responding to client requests

·       Review client files for necessary documentation and assign out tasks as client-provided documents come in

·       Internal file maintenance, including saving documents, reviewing files for completeness and managing electronic data rooms

·       Supervision of shared team inbox

·       Meeting with head of tax regularly to review workflows

·       Send invoices to clients as work is completed

·       Monitor tax software for filing confirmations

·       Review of monthly billing for completeness and accuracy and meet with head of tax to review same

·       Provide reports at weekly team meeting

·       Assistance with regular recurring communication such as quarterly tax planning meetings and booking the meetings

·       Organization of client files and documents as they come in

 

Role Expectations:

·       Minimum education of a High School Diploma, preferably an Associate's Degree

·       Minimum of two years experience working for a tax preparation firm

·       Strong attention to detail

·       Capable of speaking in the basic industry lingo

·       Organized and have strong discipline to work in a remote environment

·       Desire to take on more projects at work and aren’t afraid to ask for specific work or challenges to support you in “Choosing Your Own Adventure”

·       Aptitude for technology

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Motivation and strong desire to be a Rockstar and take on new challenges to learn as much as possible

·       Track time for specific projects

 

Bonus points if you:

·       Have worked with Canopy, CCH Axcess, Xero, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks Online

·       Have a sense of humor

·       Have worked in direct client service
