The Opportunity

InCharge Energy is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to validate new charger hardware and execute the integration of InCharge Energy’s InControl software, an industry-leading dashboard for EV fleet charger management. This person will guide the onboarding of new EV chargers, implement the InControl backend, and make recommendations to the software and EV charger teams— ensuring each device is fully functional and offering a seamless, high-quality charging experience to customers.

As part of the Technology team, you will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). You will work with vendors and partners to ensure Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) and other international standards are implemented correctly.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute integration of InControl software to all chargers and oversee charging quality testing
  • Build and execute test cases to quickly perform regression testing
  • Improve processes and procedures to onboard InControl software to new chargers
  • Support the onboarding of new chargers
  • Review InControl software OCCP specifications for charging manufacturers
  • Provide Tier 2 support for the operations team to resolve commissioning and field issues
  • Manage system architecture and definition of the interface between the AC/DC chargers and the backend
  • Collaborate with the product management team on system architectures and technology roadmap development
  • Report on and escalate weekly progress of new product development, program-level risks and unknowns, key and gating decisions; communicate status and test updates with the Technology, Operations, and Product Management Teams

Your Experience and Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering and validating electric systems
  • Experience with systems integration, commercial-grade high-reliability product development, and reviewing, executing, and reporting test cases
  • Electrical Safety Training (NFPA-70e or similar) preferred
  • Must possess exceptional computer skills, including communication and program/project management tools
  • Ability to worth with and communicate across cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Possess a passion for making world-class products
