The Opportunity


InCharge Energy is seeking a motivated Technical Training Manager in our Richmond, VA office. As part of the Operations team, you will identify, develop, and monitor the technical training needs of the organization and plan, design, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs across the organization.


The Technical Training Manager will also develop training modules for the various parts of the InCharge Business, product training, software training, installation training, service technician training, safety training, and other various job trainings as the company grows.


What You’ll Do


  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals, and consultation with various department managers
  • Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods
  • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions; monitor and evaluate the training program’s effectiveness, success, and ROI periodically and report on them
  • Manage training budget and make recommendations
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices

Your Experience and Capabilities 


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, learning, and development or education preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Training Management, or similar experience
  • In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods including workshops, simulations, e-learning, and coaching
  • Experience organizing training activities in a corporate environment 
  • Hands-on experience with project management and budgeting 
  • Proficiency in developing Learning Management Systems (LMS) 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 20%
