Job Description:

The Validation Lead is responsible for leading InCharge Energy charger-to-vehicle interoperability efforts. The candidate will take on the primary task of delivering and ensuring maximum interoperability between all of InCharge charging products with existing and future commercial electric vehicle platforms across commercial vehicle manufactures in North American. This includes charging system hardware-, software-, system integration validation.


Responsibilities:

  • Be the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for:
  • Hardware and software design validation, incl. EMC
  • Plan and conduct standards compliance and interoperability testing
  • Field interoperability root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Collaborate with commercial electric vehicle manufacturers to ensure interoperability
  • Specify requirement changes related to vehicle interoperability
  • Provide tier 2 support for the operations team to resolve field interoperability issues
  • Owning the system architecture and definition of the interface between the AC / DC chargers and the electric vehicle charger

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in engineering or computer science
  • 3+ years’ experience in electrical engineering
  • A passion for making world-class products that are targeted to solve the customers requirements
  •  Experience in the auto industry or other commercial-grade, high-reliability product development
  • Building, executing and reporting test cases
  • Electrical Safety Training (NFPA-70e or similar)
  • Excellent ability to work with and communicate across cross-functional teams
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with communication tools and program management tools
  • Be comfortable working in a fast moving, multi-threaded, environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
