Job Description:

The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and releasing the Weekly and Daily production schedules for building finished goods at our commissioning facility. The Scheduler needs to be highly organized and understand the processes that drive a supply chain, as well as production constraints at the manufacturing facility. Works with Supply Chain Lead, Warehouse Manager, and Project Teams to develop and manage the build schedule for multiple production lines, while considering current inventory, lead times and production capacity. In addition, this position is expected to live and breathe by the SIOP-Process that is currently implemented and prepare critical decisions based on the best information at hand and take a leadership role in building consensus among several parties, including at times conflict resolution among various functions.


The Production Scheduler will report directly to the Director Product and Services.


Responsibilities:

Be the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for:

  • Overlay Demand and Supply needs and develop a weekly and daily commissioning schedule.
  • Review and adjust schedule weekly for continuously changing demands.
  • Track weekly inventory levels – Verify with stakeholders that inventory is accurate and report stock levels
  • Align with Supply chain lead on future demand. Ensure that forecast is sustainable from a storage & commissioning standpoint.
  • Communicate daily with warehouse lead on all scheduling opportunities and constraints
  • Implement clear labeling, FIFO, and MIN/MAX for all warehouse inventory.
  • Support Project managers & project coordinators on scheduled shipments and directly communicate with Project Managers on current and upcoming pre-commissioning schedules.
  • Lead and develop new scheduling processes that improves material throughput. 
  • Interact daily with shipping coordinator to ensure products are shipped accurately.


Collaborate with:

  • The members of the Technology Department (which you will be part of) to discuss material needs by Project/Sales Team
  • The operations and sales team to collect shipping needs
  • The Supply Chain Lead to gain insights and provide feedback for incoming material


Report on and Escalate:

  • Weekly progress and status of inventory and delivery schedule.
  • Technical issues, process hurdles and inefficiencies with exact description and improvement recommendations. 


Core Qualifications:

  • Exceptional computer skills; ERP (SAP, EPICOR), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate across multiple departments and through multiple levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated influencing, negotiating and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent collaborative management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of effective supply chain performance including supply planning, customer service, supplier and asset management.
  • Strong passion for creating process and systems improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Math/Statistics, or Operations Management (preferred), Finance or Economic or Econometrics



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the power electronics, auto industry or other commercial-grade, high-reliability product development
  • Experience in bringing technology products to market in a fast-paced environment
