We design and manufacture custom textile materials and products - everything from medical devices to luxury fashion. As we continue to grow and expand our operation, we are looking for manufacturing assistants to join our production team.

 

Job Description

Aiding in the development of next generation additive manufacturing equipment. Generate test plans for proposed new equipment, design and build test fixtures to support proof of concept, revise and update existing designs. Building equipment from CAD models and drawings using hand tools, suggesting and communicating improvements to equipment, making updates to CAD models and documenting changes. Follows engineering procedures, quality & EHS regulations, and additional company SOPs to ensure equipment specifications are met.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and outside teams to understand areas of improvement in existing equipment

  • Work with engineering team to produce test plans for specifying process requirements

  • Design test equipment utilizing off the shelf components and custom parts leveraging rapid prototyping methods to verify design intent

  • Identify safety risks and methods of mitigation 

  • Execute testing and data collection while maintaining safe practices and adhering to company guidelines

  • Analyze and review data with all teams to communicate new information

  • Design equipment using Solidworks using manufacturing methods such as sheet metal, CNC machining, and additive manufacturing

  • Build equipment using hand tools and light machining methods

  • Communicate any changes or improvements made during build phase

  • Perform setup, initial testing, and training of equipment to production team

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Carry out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines, including FDA, EPA, and OSHA.

  • Adhere to the Safety Code of Conduct & EHS policies and attend all required EHS training.

  • Attend departmental and other scheduled meetings.

  • Practice good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrate positive, collaborative approach in the day-to-day execution of procedures.

  • Learn new skills, procedures and processes as assigned by management and continue to develop expertise.

  • Responsible for audit preparation and participation.

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Senior or Graduate in Mechanical Engineering

  • Proficiency in computerized systems

  • Experience working in a controlled environment area GMP and ISO standards.

  • Ability to handle delicate materials and do precision manual alignments.

  • Ability to accurately and thoroughly document work on printed documents and computer databases.

  • Fluent in English.
