Focus Group Coordinator – Video Games Research


About the Role:
We’re looking for a Qualitative Focus Group Coordinator to join our growing team as a freelancer. Interpret is a leading consumer market research and consulting firm in the video game field, and we are constantly screening and recruiting participants for our focus groups, interviews, and large-scale research projects to help us collect data and insights for our clients.

This position will assist with phone screening and scheduling participants. Hours are flexible and perfect for anyone looking to supplement their income outside of your traditional 9-5 jobs. Our Focus Group Coordinators help screen potential candidates for qualitative research projects via phone/text, so good phone etiquette and personal organization are very important as you will be managing participant records for multiple projects in Excel. The role provides a lot of autonomy and our ideal candidate is able to manage their own schedule and complete the assigned tasks by the deadlines assigned. Most of our projects are focused on specific video game titles, franchises, or video 

Responsibilities

  •  Screen and schedule potential candidates located throughout the US by calling/texting them to review their qualifications for participating in the focus groups
  • Organize and filter potential candidates via Excel spreadsheets to ensure that enough participants are scheduled to conduct the research


Key Skills Needed:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong phone and customer service skills - engaging with a diverse audience who share a common interest in video games
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Familiarity with CRM software like Hubspot or SalesforceAny phone screening/research recruiting experience
  • Team player, ready to work with a dedicated and fast-moving remote team
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Google Sheets and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook 
  • General knowledge of the gaming market and major game genres/franchises across PC, Console, and mobile platforms


Experience: 0-2 years of experience in customer service (phone-based experience also helpful). Training for some of the platforms listed above can be provided.
