Social Media Strategist – (6 month contract)

Role
As a Social Media Strategist you will build and operationalize a social media presence that drives audience trust, engagement, and participant acquisition across our Good Gamer Group (GGG) content ecosystem. This role is responsible for scaling owned-and-operated channels and translating our research value into compelling, platform-native storytelling for the GGG community.

 

This position will establish the cadence, voice, and execution model for our social media presence as a long-term growth and organic recruitment channel.

Brand & Channel Scope: Good Gamer Group (GGG)

  • Target Audience: GGG community members, gamers (across all platforms)
  • Primary Platforms: Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter/X
    Focus: Gamer engagement, trust-building, and participant recruitment. These channels are expected to become a primary driver of research survey participation and high-quality panel growth.
  • Key Priority: Expand and optimize video-forward platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram Reels) as underleveraged acquisition channels.

Responsibilities

Content Development & Ideation

  • Support the marketing team on content development and direction based on our established content pillars for CY2026.
  • Collaborate with internal design resources for asset creation (this role does not execute graphic design).
  • Explore opportunities for content development and execution on more video-forward platforms.
  • Execute video editing as needed to support short-form and platform-native content.

Recruitment-Focused Channel Growth (GGG Priority)

  • Grow GGG channels as a primary environment for participant acquisition and engagement.
  • Develop content that educates users on legitimacy, incentives, and participation value.
  • Optimize organic engagement to reduce dependency on paid recruitment tactics.
  • Identify opportunities to activate community dialogue, UGC, and creator-style participation.

Community & Trust Building

  • Establish transparent, authentic engagement practices that combat skepticism around paid research.
  • Monitor sentiment, questions, and barriers to participation to inform messaging refinement.

Analytics, Reporting & Optimization

  • Track and report on KPIs tied to growth, engagement quality, and recruitment impact.
  • Deliver recurring performance insights with recommendations for iteration and testing.
  • Evaluate organic performance relative to paid-channel benchmarks.

Objectives

  1. Build credibility and legitimacy for participation in our research programs, as well as drive sign ups for our GGG community.
  2. Grow and engage gaming and entertainment audiences across owned channels.
  3. Help shift recruitment reliance from paid media to organic O&O ecosystems.
  4. Establish scalable content infrastructure that can be deployed with ease.
  5. Maintain alignment with the established content strategy and social framework to ensure brand voice consistency across all entities.
  6. Potential opportunity to support channel expansion and growth of Good Entertainment Group, focusing on broader entertainment and leisure categories like movies/TV, fitness, toys, and social media trends.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years managing social strategy for gaming, entertainment, or community-driven brands.
  • Experience growing channels tied to acquisition or participation-based business models.
  • Strong fluency in gaming culture, digital communities, and video-first platforms.
  • Proven ability to scale organic ecosystems that reduce reliance on paid media.
  • Comfortable operating in a build-phase environment with high ownership.
  • Analytical mindset with experience translating performance data into strategy evolution.

 

Compensation + Benefits

This is an independent contractor position. The contractor is not an employee of the company and is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits. Compensation will be paid on a monthly basis in the amount of $1250 for up to 20 hours a week. This position is not eligible for benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, or retirement plans. The contractor is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, including self-employment taxes.
