Network Engineer/ Architect (SDN)

About the Role:
We are looking for a Network Engineer/Architect to work on our client’s broadcasting team. Our client is looking to improve their Satellite TV from analog to an IP Cloud Based Project/Product. You would be an architect helping drive this transition for the client’s Broadcasting team. This position will include the following:
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Modernize the existing legacy network to modern Software Defined Networking
Architect, design implements and support SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, NextGen Firewalls, Internet, LAN and cloud network operations
Manage day-to-day operations tasks, troubleshooting, and hardware and software deployments
Work with security teams and implement firewall policies
Network performance testing and monitoring
Responsible for keeping network systems up to date and complaint with company standards
Report network status to the key stakeholders
Partner with other IT teams to achieve business excellence
Document network designs, configurations and keep them up to date
Must Have:
Here are some of the key technologies that make up our environment. While we do not expect you to have a detailed understanding of each, the more of these you are familiar with, the better.
Overall 15+ years of experience with minimum 10+years of relevant experience in networking in traditional, cloud and hybrid environments.
Very strong knowledge with Software Defined Networking (SDN)
Solid knowledge of network including TCP/IP, IPSec and routing protocols
Hands on experience of configuring and supporting routers, switches, and firewalls
Managing Next Gen security appliances and deploying security policies
Experience of managing software defined network and SASE solutions
Experience in AWS cloud computing and deploying network appliances
Experience in operations of medium to large network, knowledge of current hardware, protocols, and internet standards, including routers, switches (Layer2/3), IPsec, remote access VPNs, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and QoS
Experience in industry leading WIFI solutions preferably Aruba
5 to 8 years of network experience including configuring, analyzing, and troubleshooting network issues
Experience with network design and test plan documentations
Experience in scripting and Linux operating systems
Previous experience of Palo Alto / Cisco Networks firewalls
Previous experience of cloud-based Palo Alto / Cisco Networks SDWAN solution
Experience of Palo Alto Networks Primsa Access SASE solutions
CCNA/CCNP or equivalent experience and knowledge
Knowledge of automation of network tasks using ansible and other modern methods
Verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work with cross functional project team
Experience with delivering projects in an agile environment using SCRUM methodologies.
Candidate should have good communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
