Location: Onsite in Englewood, CO

About the Role:

The technical manager is responsible for driving our clients Metadata team. They will engage in growing the team, ensuring that the team follows through with deliverables and communicating with C Suite Level Executives. 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Setting up procedural guidelines to establish a successful delivery process

• Overseeing teams across the different stages of project delivery by supervising staff

• Evaluating consumer feedback and instituting changes as necessary to manage expectations

• Ensuring that operations are cost-effective and stay within budget

• Act as liaison officer between different teams to build partnerships and develop solutions

• Estimate timelines for both long-term roadmap initiatives and short-term deliverables

• Establish and enforce best practices in code control, code reviews, unit testing, etc.

• Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress. Identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities. Drive results proactively.

• All about observability.  The tools and systems you build are managed and improved based on key KPIs

Must Have:

• Experience in management tools, such as Jira, Google Sheets, Scheduling Softwares

  • Experience in Streaming Services Areas (HLS, DASH, DRM)

• Understanding of how software is built and shipped.

• Experience in Metadata

• New Relic/Observability Experience 

• Experience leading highly technical teams

• Strong Communication Skills with C Suite Level Executives 

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of the TV Industry (Providers, OTA Locals, Broadcast, Movies, Sports)

• Understanding of AWS and hybrid cloud infrastructure

• OTT Experience 

• Agile experience 

• Strong Delivery Management Skills
