POSITION: Cloud Security Engineer

LOCATION: Quantico on Government site

STATUS: Contingent on Contract Award

CLEARANCE: Active Secret Clearance Required

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee existing security tools and policies within the Client's cloud environment(s).
  • In conjunction with the Client's IT Department and Information Security team, implement new tooling and policies with the Client's cloud environment(s)
  • Provide initial incident response to alerts from monitoring systems.
  • Effectively communicate with peers and senior leadership.
  • Develop and document new strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Review the use of cloud technologies for risk to Client's systems and goals.
  • Advises senior leadership on matters of importance.
  • Builds a collaborative commitment to technology strategy by considering diverse opinions and views.

Experience:

  • 3 Years’ experience in administrating and/or securing cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience in incident investigation in cloud environments.
  • Proven experience in supporting IT/Security Infrastructure
  • Strong technical background
  • Experience with Cloud Security Tools (e.g. AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Centre)
  • The ability to pick up and learn new technology approaches and make rapid decisions on the best way to use these technology advancements for the betterment of the overall security posture.
  • DoDD 8570 IAT Level III Certification
  • CSSP
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Information Security principles and an understanding of the Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK and other information security defense and intelligence frameworks.
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to actively manage workloads to meet business and department requirements.

 

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology-related discipline
  • 5 years of experience with building and maintaining detection use cases to detect unauthorized activity.
  • Linux: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Cloud security: 1 year (Required)
  • Information security: 1 year (Preferred)
