DESCRIPTION:

Cask is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Capability Lead for Computer Network Defense to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of computer network defense capabilities, ensuring the protection and resilience of the organization's network infrastructure and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop, implement, and enhance computer network defense strategies, policies, and procedures. As a subject matter expert, you will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of professionals in the field of computer network defense.

 

As a Senior Capability Lead, you will:

  •           Lead and manage computer network defense assessments, including threat intelligence, Risk identification, vulnerability management, and security operations.
  •           Develop and implement effective strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's network infrastructure, systems, and data from cyber threats.
  •           Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices in computer network defense. Assess their potential impact on the organization and make recommendations for proactive measures.
  •           Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the integration of computer network defense practices across all levels of the organization.
  •           Provide technical expertise and guidance to a team of computer network defense professionals. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  •           Conduct regular assessments and audits of the organization's infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
  •           Drive continuous improvement of computer network defense capabilities through the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes.
  •           Serve as a point of contact and liaison with external stakeholders, including government agencies, and industry partners on matters related to computer network defense.

 

Required Skills / Preferred Qualifications:

  •           Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  •           Extensive experience (7+ years) in computer network defense, with a focus on intrusion Risk Assessments, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
  •           Red team or Blue team experience
  •           Basic experience with operational technology (OT) or SCADA equipment
  •           Wide understanding of current cybersecurity vulnerabilities and operational landscape
  •           Proven track record of leading and managing computer network defense programs in complex environments.
  •           Strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and security technologies.
  •           In-depth knowledge of current cyber threats, attack methodologies, and industry-leading security practices.
  •           Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC certifications are highly desirable.
  •           Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  •           Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
  •           Experience in managing and mentoring a team of cybersecurity professionals.
  •           Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
