DESCRIPTION:

The Lead Engineer oversees technical activities associated with the contract to ensure engineering support performance requirements are met. The Lead Engineer will interact with the Government customer and be responsible for coordinating engineering activities such as engineering inputs, developing and/or updating technical documentation, supporting technical reviews and analyses, and assessing technical requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with military vehicle platforms, systems engineering, and personnel leadership and mentorship in a high-paced and dynamic environment.

 

As a Lead Engineer, you will:

·         Provide expert systems engineering team leadership for a multi-disciplinary team delivering requirements engineering, technical review and analysis, test and evaluation oversight, and platform integration to new USMC vehicle acquisition projects.

·         Maintain customer interface at senior levels of the customer organization.

·         Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items

·         Guide collaboration between engineering team and other functional teams

·         Regularly communicate with contract Program Manager to ensure contract performance goals are being met

·         Develop and deliver technical presentations as required

·         Support development of technical documents and proposals as required

 

Required Skills / Qualifications

·         At least ten years of progressively more experience directing and managing Engineering activities.

·         Experience must include one or more technical areas including: automotive design; systems integration; survivability, lethality, and vulnerability analysis; CAD modeling; test and evaluation; and requirements development and analysis.

·         Experience with DOD Acquisition projects including Major Acquisition Programs or Middle Tier of Acquisition projects

·         Experience with Marine Corps Systems Command preferred but not required.

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Systems or Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least fifteen years of relevant experience.

·         Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations
