DESCRIPTION:
The Lead Logistician oversees Integrated Logistics Support activities associated with the contract to ensure performance requirements are met. The Lead Logistician will interact with the Government customer and be responsible for coordinating Logistics Support activities such as developing new Acquisition Category documentation for all phases of the acquisition lifecycle and creating executive-level and external stakeholder briefings and white papers. The ideal candidate will have experience with military vehicle platforms, acquisition logistics, and personnel leadership and mentorship in a high-paced and dynamic environment.
As a Lead Logistician, you will:
· Provide expert logistics team leadership for a multi-disciplinary team delivering lifecycle logistics strategies, plans, and analysis such as Lifecycle Sustainment Plans, Fielding Plans, Level of Repair Analyses, and Logistics Requirements Funding Summaries to Marine Corps acquisition programs
· Provide subject matter expertise to the government in the area of Marine Corps logistics
· Maintain customer interface at senior levels of the customer organization
· Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items
· Guide collaboration between the logistics team and other functional teams
· Regularly communicate with the contract Program Manager to ensure contract performance goals are being met
· Develop and deliver executive-level presentations as required
· Support the development of technical documents and proposals as required
Required Skills / Qualifications
· At least ten years of progressively more experience directing and managing acquisition logistics activities.
· Experience with all Integrated Logistics Support elements
· Experience with DOD Acquisition projects including Major Acquisition Programs or Middle Tier of Acquisition projects
· Experience with Marine Corps Systems Command preferred but not required.
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with at least fifteen years of relevant experience.
· Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations
