POSITION: Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA      

STATUS: Contingent

CLEARANCE: Secert

TRAVEL: Up to 25%

Cask’s mission is to support Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Cask is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support U.S. Navy afloat and ashore programs. You will provide system engineering and technical assistance support in the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

The Information Systems Security Engineer will:

  •  Provide system engineering and technical assistance support as requested by stakeholders.
  •  Perform vulnerability testing using system test tools (i.e. ACAS/Nessus, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)
  •  Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  •  Maintain the security posture of IT systems to include patching, implementing STIGs, analyzing network traffic, and applying new physical security measures.
  •  Support the development of Risk Management Framework (RMF) / Assessment & Authorization (A&A) documentation, providing technical inputs as needed

Qualifications

  •  Prior experience utilizing vulnerability assessment tools
  •  Prior experience maintaining or configuring operating systems such as Windows, Linux, VxWorks, or other embedded operating systems
  •  Knowledge and/or experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) process a plus.
  •  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  •  Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or Networking.
  •  At minimum 3 years of professional experience in information technology, cybersecurity, and/or engineering role.
  •  Security+ certification required.
  •  Candidate is required to have an Active DoD Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
