STATUS: Contingent on Contract Award

CLEARANCE: Active Secret Clearance Required

TRAVEL: Less than 10%

 

DESCRIPTION: 

 

The Systems Architect will provide program management support to the LI2S Program Management Office in Stafford, VA. As a Systems Architect, you'll be the essential link between our Customers and engineering teams to define the concept of operations, architectures, and requirements. Apply the system engineering process to lead a team and/or participate in the design, integration, test, and delivery of the system.

 

As a Systems Architect, you will:

·        Develop DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) (current version) compliant architecture views using Government provided architecture environment and tools (e.g., Cameo, System Architect, Innoslate, etc.).

·        Review and adhere to Government-specified style guides, approved taxonomies, architecture implementation guides, standards, and best practices applicable to the development of DoDAF (current version) architecture and artifacts.

·        Develop and document the design of critical links in DoDAF (current version) architecture model formats to include the linkage between models and related architectures.

·        Conduct interviews with subject matter experts, sponsors, and participating organizations before and during architecture development. This iterative process is required to obtain information from the business operations communities to develop the DoDAF (current version) compliant architecture views.

·        Collect, organize, correlate, and store the architecture data required for architecture development and document the architectural results in the Government designated enterprise architecture tool environment following Government approved procedures. Architecture artifacts produced to comply with DODAF (current version) and Government-approved templates and guidelines.

·        Designs validate and implement scalable system infrastructures such as servers and databases

·        Evaluates and analyze complex systems architecture for performance and efficiency improvements.

·        Define System solutions based on the Government's needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms

·        Identify, research, select, and test technology products required for delivery

·        Establish, implement and document technology integration and/or migration strategies

·        Maintain education on the most up-to-date technologies and industry trends.

·        Developing the Enterprise Architecture

·        Coordinating all Enterprise Architecture activities locally and across the program

·        Developing and coordinating Architecture Plans

·        Assisting in aligning business and enterprise initiatives with the Enterprise Architecture

·        Auditing compliance within the Enterprise Architecture standards

·        Serving as an advisor to senior business management on business and information integration strategies

 

 Required Skills / Qualifications

·        6 years of related professional work experience

·        Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field with experience in systems administration or IT systems development; OR equivalent education and experience (no degree + 8 years as stated above)

·        Industry Certification required

·        KarKExperience with the administration of virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere

·        Experience developing in Ansible, bash, and Python

·        Experience designing and implementing data center networks, knowledge of switching, routing, and access protection

·        Experience with RHEL and STIGs

·        Ability to collaborate with external government customer to gather requirements, demonstrate technology solutions, and provide domain expertise on IT systems
