DESCRIPTION:
The Program Manager oversees all activities associated with the contract to ensure cost, schedule, performance, and contract administration requirements are met. The Program Manager will interact with the Government customer and be responsible for overall program cost, schedule, and technical performance. The Program Manager will be available to plan, direct, and control the overall management and operational functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, customer management, schedule management, financial management, coordination, personnel leadership, and mentorship in a high-paced and dynamic environment.
As the Program Manager, you will:
• Directs and provides leadership to contractor and sub-contractor teams working with local, State, or Federal government programs in accordance with existing procedures, applicable laws, and government requirements.
• Oversees desk teams, field subject matter experts, specialists, and engineers in the execution of duties that may include preparing proposals, writing contract terms and conditions, engineering services, site surveys, installation drawings, ordering and delivery of products, the configuration of data management, training, logistics support, preparing and disseminating information regarding contract status, and reviewing contractual obligations.
• Provide program management and strategic support to the overall business operations, often involving multiple projects/tasks and groups of personnel
• Lead the Cask Team through meetings, planning, and any processes needed to accomplish the goals of the team via effective communication with employees, customers, and stakeholders
• Organize, direct and coordinate the acquisition and total life cycle management and ensures program execution and activities adhere to contractual requirements and internal USMC/DoD policies.
• Set, communicate, and monitor program objectives, budgets, and schedules per strategic objectives
• Responsible for all contractual, administrative, and financial aspects of the program
• Oversee acquisition planning, development of acquisition documentation, and recommend procurement strategies
• Evaluate proposed solutions to determine technical feasibility, implementation and operation costs, and functional adequacy, as well as provide early identification of (and intervention in) program-level issues and risks that are impacting (or may impact) performance
Required Skills / Qualifications
• 12+ years of related professional work experience managing DoD programs, logistics, acquisition, engineering, or similar programs and 5+ years of experience leading medium to large, complex program(s) in the role of project/program manager, lead integrator, or supervisor
• BA/BS Business, Engineering, Management, Sciences, Information Systems, or other related analytical scientific or technical disciplines
• Experience leading high functioning, multi-discipline teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Military experience, preferably USMC
• Experience with all levels of Acquisition Category (ACAT) and Abbreviated Acquisition Programs (AAPs) is desired
• Thorough knowledge of budgeting and acquisition processes and the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations
