POSITION: Configuration Management Specialist
LOCATION: Stafford, VA
STATUS: Contingent on Contract Award
CLEARANCE: Active Secret Clearance Required
TRAVEL: Up to 25%

DESCRIPTION: 
Documents and coordinates changes to the company's system configurations. Reviews and implements requested changes. Develops documentation guidelines.

As a Configuration Management Specialist, you will: 

•  Provide technical CM support and guidance
•  Media production
•  Ensure the integrity and consistency of multiple CM Change Control Boards (CCBs)
•  Provide CCB meeting support
•  Prepare and provide agendas, minutes, notifications, and information packages
•  Track action and decision items
•  Schedule and coordinate periodic meetings with the software development team
•  Maintain status accounting records
•  Conduct special investigations to include periodic reports from the CM database
•  Provide summary impact statements as required
•  Receive, edit, and distribute reports to/from multiple organizations

Required Skills / Qualifications
•  6+ years of related professional work experience with vehicles
•  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Engineering Management, or related discipline
•  Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations
•  Knowledge of core CM principles.
•  Experience with CM for manufactured products or components (not for IT/software systems).
•  Prior experience with iPDM (Integrated Product Data Management) system is preferred or other CM software such as Configuration Management Professional CMPRO.
•  Other engineering experience (e.g., configuration management experience for manufactured components/systems).
•  Experience with Microsoft Access Databases is preferred.
•  Superb organization, time management, and communication skills required to excel in a fast-paced and client-focused environment.
•  Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
