DESCRIPTION: 

The Technical Writer will plan, develop, write, and edit technical documents to clearly and effectively communicate technical specifications and instructions in direct support of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Program Manager, Medium Heavy Tactical Vehicles (PM MHTV) and associated portfolio of vehicle and trailer systems.  

As the Technical Writer, you will: 

• Review, edit, and write technical materials, including system configuration, documentation, equipment and procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions.

• Research highly technical subject matter material and organize information from multiple sources to express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers.

• Interact with customer and technical team members for content development.

• Develop outlines and drafts for review and approval by technical specialists and management ensuring that final documents meet applicable contract requirements and government regulations.

• Ensure compliance with standards of style, format, structure and organization of material.

• Utilize comprehensive knowledge of DoD military specifications and standards.

• BA/BS from accredited college or equivalent experience.

• Three or more years of experience with developing and editing military Technical Documentation.

• Military experience, preferably USMC and with vehicle platform experience.

• Strong research, analytical, communication, and writing skills.

• Highly organized and independent worker.
