DESCRIPTION: 
The Mid-Financial Analyst will assist the Senior Financial Analyst in planning, executing, and maintaining the financial objectives in direct support of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Program Manager, Medium Heavy Tactical Vehicles (PM MHTV) and associated portfolio of vehicle and trailer systems.  The ideal candidate will have experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, coordination, and reporting.

As the Mid-Financial Analyst, you will: 
Assist the Senior Financial Analyst in defining project objectives and strategic direction.
Prepare and assist with various financial activities, such as analyzing financial records, providing policy advice, ledger maintenance, producing trend reports, obligations plans and management, financial records research, review, auditing, and invoicing.
Provide and assist with comprehensive and detailed budget analysis, forecasts, and estimates to ensure proper execution and receipt of funds.
Identify, analyze, and resolve financial discrepancies. 
Perform financial activities in compliance with the Government client’s standards, policies, and objectives.
Work with more junior analysts and provide direction when needed.
Support the budget formulation for Program Objective Memorandum (POM) inputs.
Summarize and report to management on overall financial execution and financial position as required.
Utilize Standard Accounting Budgeting and Reporting Systems (SABRS) and SABRS Management Analysis Retrieval System (SMARTS).

Required Skills / Qualifications
BA/BS Business, Management, Analytics, Math, or other related discipline.
3+ years of related work experience. 
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Strong communication and organization skills with a team-oriented mindset.
Military experience, preferably USMC and with vehicle platform experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
