Position Summary:
The FSB Project Manager is responsible for supporting, managing, and executing technical and non-technical projects that FSB undertakes.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging industry standards, best practices, and methodologies for Project Management.
· Manage projects with guidance provided by FSB Senior Project Managers.
· Provide reporting for projects over which this position has been designated responsible.
· Follow established processes and standards set forth by FSB Senior Project Managers.
· Improve existing processes and standards for FSB Project Management.
· Mentor team members to ensure skills transfer for systems under this position’s oversight.
· Support Junior team members to ensure projects are managed effectively and successfully.
· Define and document customer needs and requirements and develop and establish system specifications.
· Perform Business Case Analysis (BCA) to evaluate FSB capability to support customer systems and requirements.
Experience:
· Education, training, or professional experience over various project management methodologies.
· 3+ Years’ Experience managing both technical and non-technical projects.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
• BA/BS degree plus (6) years of experience
• DoD Secret Clearance
• US Citizenship
• 5+ years of experience as Project Manager
• Project Management experience in planning, estimating, resourcing, executing, monitoring, and managing information technology projects, preferably in technical areas such as:
• Agile software application development and modernization
• Systems engineering, integration, consolidation, and migration
• Business value driven requirement gathering and protype development
• Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, execute, and monitor projects requiring compliance with:
o Software Project management frameworks and systems engineering lifecycles
o Agile software development lifecycles
o Earned Value Management (EVM)
o Task level cost and schedule estimation, tracking, reporting, and management
• Demonstrated and validated ability to address corrective actions and to follow proper escalation protocols and procedures with technical monitors, COR, the IT organization and with the project sponsors
• Strong leadership skills to define requirements for project risks
• Excellent organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
